a rhythm and portrait song

 

This was the first ever score a.hop actualised together. The piece was made to suggest a sense of introduction within the band, attempting a togetherness with a 6 minutes’ process of sound exchange. A list of simple rules were translated by each performer without a knowledge of others’ interpretation. I find the result so beautifully composed as if some parts had been almost intended so. (by ryoko akama)
