OCM presents a special cluster of events within audiograft’s 10th festival that celebrate some of the artists who have been on their Boom scheme over the last 5 years. You can watch them perform, meet them (and other audiograft artists), and join in discussion sessions with them, all in the hidden secret that is the Barn in St John’s College, right in Oxford’s city centre.

SWINE

Swine are a Somerset based group of sound makers and improvisers creating debris strewn wetlands of sound and conjuring sonic deliriums. The trio use a wide variety of sound sources including Michael Fairfax’s sound sculptures, electronica from dystopian drum and bass producer Jon Cooke and Tim Hill’s layers of treated saxes. The result is an organic, improvised sound world of tides, swirls, swamps. of geologies of noise blurring inner and outer landscapes. Michael’s instruments are hewn from trees, a family of beautiful stringed instruments, both elemental and evocative.
